What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I felt very uncomfortable in my body! I felt trapped in some way. Not only was my physical health at risk, but also my mental, emotional and spiritual well-being! My daughter was and still is the driving force for me! I want you to make better decisions than I do.

How did you change your eating habits?
Processed and junk food was a major problem and had to go! lol My current diet consists of whole, natural foods (fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, nuts, and vegan dairy). Processed and/or refined foods are very limited. I also cook for myself and don’t eat out as much!

What is your workout routine?
I do cardio and strength training with my body weight!

How often did you exercise?
I train 4-5 times a week from 45 minutes to 1 hour.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
Starting weight: 255 lbs
Current weight: 160 pounds

What is your height?

When did the trip start? How long did your transformation take?
I started in 2015. I lost weight naturally, with consistent exercise, nutritious food and prayer! I actually worked out for a year straight (I was a little overzealous lol) and that first year I was able to lose 90lbs. I have maintained my weight ever since.

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery. 100% natural.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. This is not a competition; it’s a journey. This is not a diet, but a lifestyle!!! Besides, you are your own worst enemy!

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Get out of your own way! You can. The journey will not be easy, but it will be worth it! Most importantly, you are more than enough just the way you are, but you owe it to yourself and the people you love to experience the best version of yourself. Go ahead… got it!
